Four companies will be the beneficiaries of this first edition: Cristal Mar Marilum (led by chef Angel León), Navantia, Biothesan and Phycogenetics. The event will be in the UCA building “Constitución de 1812”.
The University of Cadiz will host tomorrow a ceremony organized by the Foundation of the International Campus of International Excellence of the Sea CEI · Mar, for the signing of cooperation agreements with the companies benefiting from the first edition of the Call for Business and Territorial Innovation Projects CEI · Mar. Foundation president and rector of the UCA, Eduardo González Mazo, will chair the event, at 11.30 pm in the “Constitución de 1812” building of Cadiz Campus .
Aids of this fist call have been awarded to projects submitted by Navantia, Mar Cristal Marilum (led by chef Angel León, which raw research and development of gastronomic and marine products), Biothesan (company of Granada specialized in marine aquaculture) and Phycogenetics (spin off of the University of Huelva dedicated to the development of new probiotics and dietary supplements based on antimicrobial feed microalgae).
This is a program that aims to support the efforts of innovative companies in the maritime marine environment, linked to the CEI.MAR field, encourage innovation in companies active in this field; to value the transfer of knowledge generated by universities and research centers CEI · Mar and its application in the territory, as well as boosting cooperation among knowledge generation centers of CEI.MAR and businesses to achieve excellence and innovation and promote interdisciplinary and integrative approaches science-business-society.
