The UCA presents the book ‘Are seaweeds edible? A journey through biology, history, curiosities and gastronomy ‘

A publication of the stamp Editorial UCA, written by professors of the Faculty of Marine Sciences and Environmental gaditano collaboration with the chef Angel León. Admission is free until full capacity.

The University of Cadiz presents tomorrow at 11.30 hours, the book Are seaweeds edible? A journey through biology, history, curiosities and gastronomy, published by the publishing house UCA within the CIS · Mar collection. The rector of the UCA and president of the Campus of International Excellence Foundation CEI · Mar Mar, Eduardo González Mazo, will preside over the ceremony in the hall of the building Lequerica 1812 Constitution.

This work has been developed by professors of the Faculty of Marine Sciences and Environmental UCA, Jose Lucas Perez Llorens, Ignacio Hernández Carrero, Juan José Vergara Oñate and Brun Fernando Murillo, with the collaboration of Cadiz chef Angel León. Inside, it includes 36 recipes of the best Spanish chefs like Andoni Luis Aduriz, Juan Mari Arzak, Eneko Atxa, Martin Berasategui, Quique Dacosta, Rodrigo de la Calle, Dani Garcia and Angel Leon himself.
