The University of Cadiz has reached the second place in the national university system in the call for international mobility of Erasmus + KA107 for stays outside the European Union, both in number of seats (245) and budget (871,930 euros).
The rector of the University of Cádiz, Eduardo González Mazo, accompanied by the vice-rector of Students of the University of Cadiz, Concha Valero, and the General Director of International Relations of the UCA, Juan Carlos Garcia Galindo, presented this morning the results Erasmus international + (KA107) call for the course 2016/17. Over the previous year, Juan Carlos Garcia Galindo said that in the KA107 call has increased the supply by 18%, with a total of 102 new incoming students and 65 teachers and incoming and outgoing PAS join the Erasmus statistics the UCA. Among the new research projects launched highlight one with the Federal University of Siberia on biomedicine and bioengineering, another with the Hassan II University in Morocco genomics strawberry and two under the CEI · Mar with UNAM of Mexico in renewable and the Federal University of Southern Russia on energy sediments, oil spills and oceanography.
The UCA will also provide 477 seats (KA103) to conduct studies and practices in European universities, the classic “Erasmus”, aimed at students, teachers and administrative staff and services (PAS) within countries of Erasmus (EU, Finland program, Turkey, Monaco).
CEI·Mar and CEIA3 will also have 188 seats
Also, the Campus of International Excellence also participate in this calls Erasmus +. Specifically, the Campus of International Excellence CEI · Mar Mar, coordinated by the University of Cádiz, will have 117 seats for Europe with KA103, funded 116,242 €, and 60 for countries outside the EU (Morocco and Algeria) with 189,170 euros. And Agrifood CEIA3, coordinated by the University of Cordoba with the UCA as a partner, will offer 66 (€ 85,642) in Europe and 128 fellowships (425,840 euros) in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador and Uruguay.
In overall numbers, between the two campuses will be available 188 scholarships to non-European countries.
