Marine Research Institute

Marine Research Institute (INMAR) is an Institute of the University of Cádiz, located in the Andalusian Centre of marine science and technology (CACYTMAR). It is a joint research Centre depending on the University of Cádiz and the Junta de Andalucía. This Center was born 1999, as part of a program that is committed to the creation of thematic research centres of regional dimension linked the University, with the aim of bring together and serve as a link to different Andalusian institutions working in the field of marine science and technology in. INMAR was approved at the Andalusian University Council in June 2016.

International Study and Convention Centre in Ecology and Environment

International Study and Convention Centre in Ecology and Environment (CICEM) is a center of the Andalusian Research Plan belonging to the University of Huelva. Currently, the CIECEM arises as a part of the University of Huelva in order to serve to the scientific research, innovation and dissemination. This centre is configured as an operational structure of specialized scientific services, which is currently in constant growth, constantly increasing its technical potential, research and productivity.

Centro de Investigação Marinha e Ambiental, Portugal

INSALGARVE

The Centre for Marine and Environmental Research (CIMA) was created in 1998 at the University of Algarve. It is a leading multidisciplinary Research Unit at the University of Algarve through its research, training and environmental monitoring activities. The transfer of scientific knowledge to Society is a major team commitment. This activity is developed the facilities of the Faculty of marine and environmental science (FCMA) of the University of the Algarve and in the Centre of CIACOMAR, Olhao.

The Marine Science Center (CCMAR) is a private scientific research unit related to the University. Together with CIIMAR “Centro Interdisciplinar de Investigação Marinha e Ambienta” of the University of Porto, constitutes the CIMAR, the greatest research unit of Portugal in the field of the Marine Sciences. This research centre is organized into two main divisions: “Aquaculture and biotechnology” and “Living resources”.

Interuniversity Research Institute of the Erath System in Andalusia

The IISTA was officially created by the transformation of the ANDALUSIAN INSTITUTE FOR EARTH

SYSTEM RESEARCH (Centro Andaluz de Medio Ambiente, CEAMA) with the general aim of promoting scientific and technological knowledge as well as development and innovation in the fieldsphere of Earth Systems: Atmosphere, Hydrosphere, and the Earth’s Crust and its ecosystems, taking into account its involvement in socio-economic and environmental development and favouring its transfer to public administrations as well as to public and private organizations and businesses.

The institute was established with the vision of contributing knowledge to society and to become integrated into the Andalusian knowledge System (Sistema Andaluz del Conocimiento), fostering its interaction with different agents, undertaking quality research, promoting its transfer to the production sector, and committing itself to the modernization of human resources and the tools of the Andalusian Government.

At present, the IISTA has a solid group of excellent research teams with several years of experience together in projects of research, development, and innovation (RDI), and offers a good system of laboratories and field equipment with plans to be expanded in the immediate future.
