Knowledge of the Sea

This first thematic area of specialization combines the study of specific aspects of basic science (biology, physics, chemistry, geology and mathematics) in the marine context with the study and development of oceanography as an interdisciplinary science which studies the biological, physical, chemical and geological processes which take place both on the coast and in the ocean itself. In this area it is possible to obtain a global view of the knowledge regarding and functioning of the oceans and their coastal areas and their interaction with other components of the physical world, (lithosphere and atmosphere) and the biological world.
